LET ME EXPLAIN...

In Don Miller's book, Hero On a Mission, he encourages his readers to take a look at their lives from the end of their lives. He asks us to consider - are we playing the victim, the villain, the hero or the guide? It's a fantastic book that I highly recommend.

Since the book is one of the 12 books in my Book Club Year 1, we walked through the exercise of writing our own eulogies. (Or eugooglios as Zoolander puts it!)

When I wrote mine I was surprised to find out through the exercise that I had hoped to "write a book someday." I named myself an author, and a business owner. Two things I had yet to do or accomplish at the time.

As Don notes, it's amazing what can and will happen when you just write something down. Even though I didn't peruse my own eulogy often, I knew that deep down I did, in fact, want to write a book.

So after some twists and turns in my life, in January 2025 I started the writing process.

I wanted to put in writing the things that I have taught women and men leaders, the tools I have used many times and the Culture course that I have taught Chief People Officers and Strategic HR leaders and business owners about the culture of their organizations and how to make their place of work really rock.

Now with the help of an AMAZING BOOK COACH, Joyce Beverly, and an INCREDIBLE DESIGNER, Victoria Wolf, I get to share with you my book, How a Culture of Delight Starts with You: A Leadership Guide for Women of Faith.

I hope and pray that as leaders of ministries, businesses, nonprofits and missionary outposts, it helps you be the BEST BOSS!
